Dynaudio Esotar Installation
Dynaudio Esotar Systems are capable of superb sound quality; however, the ultimate level of performance depends heavily on the quality of installation and ancillary equipment. There are many points to consider, such as:
Loudspeaker positioning:
In order for the sound to be tonally correct, dynamic and transparent, the drivers need to be mounted in the correct position in relation to each other. For example, in a 2-way system the woofer and tweeter for each channel should be mounted in relative close proximity to one another. This may mean that the location of the factory-fitted speakers in a car is not always ideal for yielding the full performance potential of the system.
Loudspeaker mounting:
To achieve the highest level of sound quality, it is very important that the loudspeakers are mounted to solid and well-damped baffles and that the air space behind the woofers is sealed from the vehicle interior. To avoid rattles and resonance, it is important that surfaces such as inner door skins, surrounding metal and even exterior panels are reinforced and damped with quality sound/vibration deadening materials.
Loudspeaker cabling:
Quality speaker cable is highly recommended. Again this may mean that the cabling that is part of the factory-fitted loudspeaker wiring of your car is a limiting factor in reaching the optimum performance potential of your Dynaudio Esotar system.
Ancillary components:
Even with the loudspeakers perfectly mounted in the ideal locations, top-notch performance isn't guaranteed. Make sure that the other components in the chain, such as amplifiers and head unit are also capable of resolving even the finest and subtlest details. Although output power is an important factor, the quality of that power and how it is delivered is at least as important.
