Volkswagen Phaeton

Volkswagen’s first generation prestigious class car is already established as a synonym for luxury and comfort. In its newest edition, the 2009 Phaeton follows this path, but adds a new level of in-car entertainment: The new, unique Dynaudio Temptation Sound System.

Nearly one decade ago, Dynaudio presented its reference model Master Evidence which still today remains one of the best loudspeakers ever made, performing with its musical naturalness.

In the automotive world, the Phaeton marked new benchmarks in many areas, so when developing an entertainment system only the best was good enough: The new Dynaudio Temptation Sound System sets a new standard in its natural balance / authenticity and follows the sound quality level of the Evidence home loudspeaker series.

The system consists of 12 high quality loudspeakers, perfectly integrated into the luxurious interior and adapted acoustically by the Dynaudio sound experts. To achieve the most detail-rich, smooth and soft highs and mids, a unique 4-way-system was developed for the front section. Completely new is the innovative multi-sub-arrangement which reproduces tight and dynamic bass through four individually placed bass drivers.
In the rear another 2-way-system including a soft dome tweeter and a midrange/bass driver allows the Evidence sound system to achieve one of the best, well-balanced music reproduction performances in the luxury car segment.
A sovereign digital power amplifier with 1.000 watts completes the system.
