Answering the challenge for Volvo to realize uncompromising quality with meticulous attention to detail, the result is the most refined and most powerful sound system ever integrated into a SUV. The special acoustical demands for a vehicle with such a large passenger compartment required a close collaboration between the Volvo engineers and the Dynaudio loudspeaker specialists. Fourteen single loudspeakers including a center channel integrated in the middle of the dashboard ensure the highest quality surround sound performance. Using the DSP Technology, the radiation of the sound field can be adjusted for each particular seat or for the whole passenger compartment individually by the driver. While the vehicle is moving, the Sound System recognizes both noise from the interior and the style of driving and automatically makes adjustments to balance the sound and volume according to these external factors.
