Setting a high product quality standard alone doesn’t suffice. It’s a long way from product idea to the moment where one sits down and enjoys the resulting Dynaudio loudspeaker: research, development, engineering, purchasing, production, quality control, packaging, logistics, etc. are all intrinsic processes which demand a high level of attention to detail in their own right.
Ever since the start all processes across all departments are subject to stringent quality control to ensure a high level of workmanship. Besides quality control, feedback systems bring constant refinement and improvement of all processes. Through these measures, Dynaudio has surpassed the requirements set by the QS9000 standard (not to be confused with the more usual but less stringent ISO9000 standard), a position unique with loudspeaker manufacturers. To put this in perspective even more, across the whole of Denmark, only 12 other companies have achieved this certification. Following this it was a logical step to achieve certification of the extremely demanding quality standards set by car manufacturers. Achieving the TS16949 certification confirmed the efficiency and quality needed to be a partner for Volkswagen. The certification isn’t just about product quality but also about consistency, documentation, error prevention, production capacity and many other aspects. Just the certification process alone for each standard took around a year and a half to complete. This certification isn’t like a single, static exam but it is an ever-perpetuating process: Every year compliance to all parameters and the parameters themselves are re-evaluated. The environment also is an important consideration within the company – complying with the demanding Danish legislation in this area comes second nature to Dynaudio. It is this exacting way that guarantees a true premium product that can be enjoyed for a lifetime. |
