The extraordinary sound quality of the MC 15 is the direct result of Dynaudio’s innovative loudspeaker technology:
A 28 mm (1.1 inch) tweeter handles the high frequency reproduction, achieving undistorted sound via an extremely light aluminium voice coil and a powerful magnet. The fabric dome is specially coated to reproduce the highest notes naturally and homogeneously. A 15 cm (5.9 inch) mid/bass driver with a
special magnesium silicate polymer diaphragm, an oversized voice coil and extremely powerful magnet built into a rigid aluminium frame delivers the midrange and bass frequencies and ensures a precise, controlled response even at high volume levels. Two integrated amplifiers are matched to the loudspeaker drivers to achieve a perfect sonic balance. Various thermal and electromechanical protection circuits are employed
to further protect the MC 15 even at extreme output levels.
To achieve even more impressive deep bass output, the optionally available Dynaudio Sub 250MC subwoofer may be added to provide extreme low frequency extension. Multiple Sub 250MC subwoofers may be linked via the included Master/Slave function to enable a further improved bass response.
The MC 15’s analogue RCA input makes it easy to connect almost any audio source, for example via a variable headphone output. The sound can be further tuned to match personal taste and preference through the setting adjustments on the speaker back plate. A dedicated base plinth that angles the MC 15 slightly towards the listener is included to enable a mechanically and acoustically precise set-up.
Magnetic radiation is relatively low, however a certain distance from monitors should be maintained for optimum video and sound quality. The detachable cloth grille protects the loudspeaker drivers from external influences.
