Review Archives: Dynaudio Contour S1.4 and Contour SR //
The Contour S 1.4 was honored with a five-star review in What Hi-Fi?, being praised as "Great all-rounders" that "deliver a full-blooded performance, with especially good bass."

The Contour S1.4 was reviewed by Jeff Dorgay for Tone Audio (online, issue 15), who stated: "I think Dynaudio has more than exceeded expectation at this price point with the S1.4. I haven’t heard every single speaker out there for $3-4,000, but for now the Dynaudio S1.4 is at the top of my list. If you are shopping in this range, I would get down to your Dynaudio dealer and audition these. I think you will be very excited."

The Contour S1.4 was reviewed by Audio Forum in Belgium (www.audioforum.be), drawing great praise for their performance: "The Contours give a big and deep soundstage, full of detail and attack. The bass is powerful, full and imposing."

The Dynaudio Contour SR and Sub 250, having been reviewed by Chris Martens in a 2.1 system in the October/November 2006 issue of The Perfect Vision magazine, were both named winners of The Perfect Vision's Editor's Choice Award in the Free Standing and On-Wall Speaker Systems and Subwoofer categories, respectively, as selected by the magazine's editors for the Winter 2007 issue of the magazine. "The Contour S R and SUB250 system sounds superb on well recorded material, though it can and does expose mediocre recordings for what they are. But this is a small price to pay for an on-wall system whose sound is truly competitive with that of high-end floorstanders. This is one on-wall system that I think finicky, hard-core audiophiles might choose on the basis of its sonic prowess alone."
